Design Process

Consultation For every project, we will schedule a free initial consultation with to discuss your garden, your preferences and specific goals.?At that meeting, we will note any client requests or problem areas to address. We will explain how we work and provide you with a price to design your project. Typical plan costs range from $500.00 and up depending on the size of the site and the complexity of the project. Hourly or flat rate contracts are available, depending on which will best suit your needs.

Site Survey We will then conduct a site survey to take into account the existing gardens, assess boundaries, and take other measurements required for the subsequent preparation of the plan. Pictures will be taken, and existing hardscape and plant material will be considered. Client supplied Plats, or existing survey information are accepted in hard copy or electronic format in order to accelerate this process and reduce the cost.

Concept Plan We will then prepare a concept plan outlining the proposed garden design. This will serve as a discussion document outlining our ideas and allowing any adjustments you may wish to make prior to preparation of the final hardscape and planting plans. We will also provide photographs of the proposed plant material and examples of the proposed hardscape, so you can select which items appeal to you and rule out things you dislike.

Master Plan We will then prepare a professionally designed Master Plan that includes any changes you have requested and incorporates your preferences as to materials and plantings. At this time we will also provide a cost estimate for the entire installation. This plan will show the scale, name, size, quantity, and location of all proposed plantings. These are chosen based on our extensive experience in this area with performance, maintenance and your stated preferences. It will also identify all hardscape elements with dimensions.

Installation If you decide to implement your project, we will be with you every step of the way. We manage our projects from start to finish. We pay great attention to detail and excel at customer service. We establish relationships with our clients that often last long after the projects are completed. We work closely with contractors who are leaders in their fields, and who have excellent reputations and references. All of our contractors are fully licensed, bonded and insured. We have long standing relationships with these companies, and can vouch for the quality and value they provide.
